 Hi!  I am Lydia Moore Allen

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Master's Level Addiction Professional, Certified Parenting Instructor and Qualified Supervisor, I provide counseling for individuals, couples and families, supervision for registered MSW interns, and consulting for organizations seeking to enhance their programs. I also provide comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluations for Immigration Court for Hardships, Violence against Women (VAWA), U-VISA (for immigrants who were victims or witnesses to a crime in the U.S) and T-VISA (for victims involved in human trafficking). I have been in the clinical field for almost 20 years and would love an opportunity to support you on your journey. I have dedicated my years working with individuals and families, children, adolescents, young adults and couples managing life changing challenges, including addiction, marital conflict, mental health imbalance and parenting hurdles. I have worked in residential and partial-hospitalization settings and have extensive experience with individuals, couples, and families from varying cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.  

I am trained in completing comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for Immigration Court. My responsibility as an evaluator is to provide services to individuals and families seeking residency due to hardships, asylums, violence against women or as victims of human trafficking. I am dedicated to helping these individuals and families by representing their psychosocial, emotional, and psychological symptoms in a written, thorough evaluation. My training was conducted through the Immigration Diagnostic Evaluations Academy, where I also receive ongoing support through monthly educational meetings. 

Over the years, I have utilized a range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Experiential, Family Systems, Strength Based Approach and Motivational Interviewing. My years in the field have deepened my passion and compassion for helping others and I am inspired by those I had the opportunity to guide and support on their journey.
